Swaziland, with a national prevalence of 38.6% has the highest HIV/Aids rate in the world with the epidemic hitting the economically productive age group of 15-50 years. The impact of this high prevalence is being felt across the country. This study is an assessment of the socio-economic impact from a poverty and gender perspective.
