Articles include one on challenging structures through addressing gender based violence in mediation which looks at West Africa and offers suggestions as to which issues should be taken into account. A transformative peace process that includes women in post conflict planning could remove risks and transform cultural practices that constrain women’s participation.

There is also an article on developing a framework for resolving the justice and reconciliation question in Zimbabwe which raiseds the concept of “survivor’s justice”. Another article on Zimbabwe addresses the consequences of not healing using the Gukurahundi violence and examing the fact that if there is no healing the trauma is passed on to the next generation.
