This manual is designed to serve as a framework for monitoring implementation of the Convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women. It’s purpose is to assist individual and women’s human rights and other groups and NGOs to assess the status of women and determine the extent that the Convention has been implemented on the countries that have ratified or acceded to the Convention.
It provides guidance for monitoring the implementation of the Convention and reporting. It provides comments on the articles of the Convention and poses questions that should be asked and answered in assessing the legal and actual status of women when reporting under the Convention.
