Children and women in South Africa: A situational analysis

Date: September 9, 2016
  • SHARE:

This is the first national study of the situation of women and children in South Africa. It examines their fundamental and priority needs within the social, economic, cultural and political context of the country as well as making recommendations for a programme to promote the survival and development of children within a non-racial non-sexist democratic South Africa.

The situational analysis study is intended to provide the data needed to draw up and implement a National Plan of Action for Children.
