Children: Dying to Make the News

The Empowering Children & Media project monitored how children and children’s rights are represented in the South African news media in 2003. The monitoring serves as a baseline study, which will not only enable the development of policies and strategies to address strengths and weaknesses, but will also be used to further the development of a culture of human rights in the media, through training and advocacy initiatives.
