Commission on Gender Equality: National Gender and Media Symposium

The theme of the national symposium held in Gauteng on the 14 May 1999 was Gender, Politics and the Media. It was intended as a critical analysis of the treatment of women politicians in the South African media.

The panel discussions included women politicians and the media; guidelines for reporting and gender and politics.
