In many societies, women and disabled people are regarded as a dependent class, The Tanzanian society has no exception on this, that is why most of women and disabled people are not in working class, In Mwanza region. Disabled women group proves wrong those who undermines the two social groups, these women decided to form their entrepreneurship group after being segregated in other groups.
The Faraja group started in 2012 with the capital of 200,000 Tshs.(100 USD) nowadays owns a food products business, tailoring and making simple detergents ,with a 500,000 Tshs raise in capital the group is now helping each of the members to earn living

Why did you produce the story? What problem or context is it responding to?
As it has been taken by most of, the people women and disabled people are merely active in economic activities so it was very courageous and sensitive to cover the story about these economically active groups of disabled women. Therefore, the story can inspire other women especially the disabled ones to put themselves in entrepreneurship to boost the probability to reach the country’s millennium expectation of 50\50 between men and women in all spheres of life

I hope the story could inspire other women especially the disabled ones to put themselves in entrepreneurship to boost the probability to reach the country’s millennium expectation of 50\50 between men and women in all spheres of life in Mwanza region and Tanzania as a country at large

Who did you hope to reach? Did you succeed in reaching this audience? What evidence do you have to that effect?
My target audience was both men and women as i hope the story could change men’s attitude toward women participation in economic activities, and inspire other women. Especially the disabled ones to put themselves in entrepreneurship to boost the probability to reach the country’s millennium expectation of 50\50 between men and women in all spheres of life in Mwanza region. Tanzania as a country at large I succeeded to reach the audience as the Faraja Group game me feedback that they have received some joining requests from other women after story airing.
How did you go about producing the programme?
How did you gather the data, how many sources, female and male did you consult? Why did you choose these sources and how were their voices important?
I went and interview the women I had three sources both of them were females.
I choose both three sources from the faraja group so as to some credibility to the message conveyed

What impact did it have? What evidence do you have to illustrate impact?
After airing, the program the group got so many joining requests from other disabled and abled women also one of the SACOS of which the Faraja group served by improved its infrastructures so as to make their services friendly to these disabled women

How would you conduct a follow up to your story and why?
I do have frequent physical and digital contact with these women to make sure that I got any possible updates with them. I am currently on the process of producing a developing story concerning the advancement of these Faraja women
