Gender policy brief on the education sector 2014/2015

The education sector is mandated to provide support, guide and promote quality in service delivery to empower Ugandans. With regard to gender equity the sector measures initiatives against three key rights: the right to access to education; the right to respect within the learning environment and the right to quality education.

Government may be committed to gender equality but it is through the budget that “real commitment” is gauged. “Money matters: programmed action without money amounts to inaction”.
