Brief description of the item of work you submitted and motivation of why it is a good example of gender awareness and sensitivity in advancing gender equality Post-2015.

TANZANIA HAD A GENERAL ELECTION IN OCTOBER 2015, WHICH WAS FOR PRESIDENTIAL, MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT AND COUNCILORS.FOR THE FIRST TIME WE SAW ONE PARTY ACT WAZALENDO NOMINATING A WOMAN MAMA ANNA MGWIRA TO CONTEST FOR PRESIDENTIAL POST. I SEE THAT,IF WOMEN ARE TRUSTED AND GIVEN A CHANCE TO CONTEST WITHOUT BEING THREATENED,CAN BRING CHALLENGE TO MEN DURING ELECTIONS.MY PROGRAMME AIMING TO PROMOTE WOMEN TO CONTEST FOR DIFFERENT POST AND CREATE AWARENESS TO THE SOCIETY THAT IF WOMEN ARE TRUSTED AND GIVEN CHANCE TO CONTEST,CAN MANAGE TO WIN AND BECOME GOOD LEADERS. I ARGUE THE STAKE HOLDERS TO EMPRESS WOMEN TO CONTEST FOR DIFFERENT POSTS

I DISCOVERED DURING THE GENERAL ELECTION OF 2015 WOMEN WERE MOSTLY MARGINALIZED IN SOME OF THE PARTIES AND COMMUNITY AT LARGE.I WANT TO AWAKEN THE STAKEHOLDERS AND OTHER PEOPLE WITH GOOD HEART TO GIVE MORE SUPPORT TO WOMEN WHO SHOW INTEREST TO BECOME LEADERS

CREATE AWARENESS TO THE COMMUNITY, ENCOURAGE WOMEN TO CONTEST, TO REMOVE FEAR, POLITICAL PARTIES NOT SEGREGATING WOMEN, STAKE HOLDERS BUILD CAPACITY TO BOTH MEN AND WOMEN ABOUT THE RIGHT OF WOMEN TO ELECT AND BE ELECTED.

I JUST INTERVIEWED THE WOMAN WHO CONTESTED AND BEING THREATENED BY MEN DURING ELECTION, POLITICAL PARTY MEMBER AND A WOMAN WHO WORKS WITH WOMEN ORGANIZATION
