The CAP on humanitarian effectiveness at a glance. One Africa. One Voice. One message. Africa continues to speak with one voice. The AU adopted a common position on humanitarian work in Ethiopia in 2016.It is the consolidation of the aspirations of African Union member states.
CAP calls for transformative global humanitarian architecture. It also puts forward ten pillars. These include the primary responsibility of the state, governance and human rights as well as the development and security nexus. Also Institutional architecture and the private sector and finally, financing and partnerships.
The CAP consists of the preamble, background and context as well as a statement.
