These stories are real experiences of women in Botswana and not fiction. The book gives a glimpse of the horrors experienced by women on a daily basis. Women go through many forms of gender based violence and deserve a standing ovation for their courage in sharing their stories. For years Gender Links in Botswana has been using stories from other countries and in 2013 the first book was launched. This is a follow up volume.

There is no way to end gender violence when the voices of those who experience are left behind. Their voices need to be heard and appreciated. Here women speak about their personal experiences. This exercise was very intense.
