Mapping local democracy in South East, Kgatleng, Jwaneng and Sowa Township

On the basis of a workshop for African mayors organised to identify the problems they face as leaders at local level, IDEA developed a methodology for mapping local democracy which was presented at a workshop in Cape Town. Gaberone was one of five cities in Africa were selected for the pilot phase. This booklet is intended to help local democracy emerge from marginalization.
