This contains the findings of the second stage of WLSA’s study on women and the administration of justice; delivery problems and constraints. it is based on the theme – gender violence – crimes committed by and against women.

There are chapters on understanding domestic violence and contributing factors and consequences of domestic violence. There is also a sectionon response mechanisms to domestic violence, including blaming alcohol, blaming the victim, coping strategies, self blame, acceptance of culture and socialisation.

It concludes with recommendations and integrated approaches.
