Key findings of this research include that Zimbabwe has high prevalence of intimate partner violence (IPV) both in lifetime and in the last 12 months. Emotional IPV is the most common. The VAW dynamics are not homogenous throughout the country. There is remarkable under-reporting of VAW in the country. Further research is necessary to understand the under-reporting of VAW in Zimbabwe. Prevention efforts at national and provincial level need to be accelerated. Provision of psychosocial support should be made a priority in responding to VAW. VAW campaigns need to empower women and encourage them to speak out and seek help.
