Policy guidance to male involvement in SRH,HIV/AIDS and gender-based violence prevention and management: An addendum to SRH policy guidelines and service standards

The 1994 International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) was a critical starting point for male involvement and participation in sexual and reproductive health matters. Male involvement is imbedded in the subsequent ICPD Programme of Action. The Government of Botswana as a signatory of the ICPD joined other nations in a paradigm shift to a health driven focus and to emphasise men’s shared responsibility.
