Participation of the citizenry in the governance of their country is crucial to the fight against poverty. It brings about good governance which comes with respect for human rights, the rule of law, gender equality, effective participation in development as well as processes and institutions that can be held accountable. This peer guide is designed for use by peer educators while enhancing the capacity of grass roots citizens in promoting good governance and gender accountability at local level.
