Regional planning and development policy

The regional planning and development policy is an integral pat on the national development strategy and aims at achieving national unity and integration, full participation of the majority of the population in the development process, equitable distribution of the benefits  of development and systematic utilization of the country’s resources in the regions for socio – economic development in Namibia and its people.

The policy has been necessitated by the need for co-ordinated supervision of functions and development activities in the regions, the need to extend and integrate national development with socio-economic needs of the regions.
