This booklet covers the provision of care for people living with HIV by household and family, government, markets and the voluntary sector in Tanzania. Paid and unpaid care work is considered, and in particular how women provide much of the care on an unpaid basis in homes and families. There is also a brief political history of social policy. It then looks at the workers who provide the care and finally some recommendations are made.
