“Equality in political decision=making performs a leverage function without which it is unlikely that a real integration of a gender dimension in Government policy-making is feasible. Women’s equal participation in decision-making is not only a demand for simple justice or democracy, but also a necessary condition for women’s interests to be taken into account ad social and economic development.” National gender Policy,1977,page 23

The Namibian Women’s Manifesto was compiled by Sister Namibia in collaboration with women and men activists from all spheres of society.
