The Norwegian Government’s Action Plan for the Implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000) on Women, Peace and Security

This action plan has been drawn up by the Ministry of foreign Affairs,the ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Justice and the Police and the Ministry of Children and Equality. It is part of our endeavour to promote global security, peace and justice. The government will intensify its efforts both to increase women’s participation in civil and military peace operations, peacemaking and peace building, and to enhance the protection of the human rights of women in conflict areas. Norway will pursue a policy that promotes gender equality at home and in a global context.
