This Life This Struggle – Life of Ten Exemplary Women

Naripokkho is a woman activist organisation founded in 1983 working on women’s rights advancement and to resist discriminiation and violence against women. From the beginning, Naripokkho weekly meeting is held on every Tuesday and it undertakes various programs like demonstration, campaign, advocacy, cultural activites, research, etc. Naripokkho has extensive experiences in conducting national level seminar, conferences and training, workshop on issue related to gender and development. Financial assistance is taken to implement specific plan. Most of the members of Naripokkho work voluntarily and provide their valuable time,experiences and expertise to this purpose.

This publication is to present the struggle of a few women to the readers so that they are inspired to fight for themselves. We dream and we hope that instead of surrendering, women will stand fast against the injustices and atrocities committed against them. Our movement is against those who would limit the wide universe for women. In this struggle we will eventually prevail with the dream of a different future.
