This report is organized around four broad-based strategies for tackling the intersection of violence against women and HIV&AIDS, Namely: Firstly, involving the community to change harmful gender norms, secondly by focussing on how women’s vulnerability to violence and HIV&AIDS is roorted not only in gender inequality but also social disparities, the third strategy focuses on the creation of integrated approaches, linking health reponses to violence and HIV&AIDS to comprehesnive social services and lastly, highlighting the importance of holding policy makers accountable for their efforts to address the linkages between the pandemics.
