True Life Stories: Strengthening institutions to promote gender responsive social cultures

True Life Stories contains a compilation of stories shared by survivors of domestic violence, confessions from a former domestic abuser, and stories about the education of a girl child as well as the child bride who was too young to marry. There are tales of a struggle for inheritance and property rights and another about a champion of women suffrage as well as a man who loves the women’s rights movement.

These stories are part of the ACFODE project strengthening institutions to promote gender responsive social cultures in Apac and Dokolo districts. The project targets rights holders as well as duty bearers such as law enforcement officers, politicians and religious leaders.
