‘The Real Enemy in the Fight Against AIDS’ is a book I have written to discuss the challenges hampering efforts to combating the pandemic. These issues range from gender, culture, religion, human rights abuses and more importantly policy decisions. I was in a position to discuss these issues after participating in a program by Clinton HIV and AIDS Initiative to oversee the establishment of treatment centres.
Developed countries have donated huge amounts of resources in cash and kind but targets have not been reached in many countries especially Africa South of the Sahara and the people in donor countries need to know what is happening. That is the essence of the book which has been published by Dorrance Publishing Company of Pittsburgh USA.
