This documentary shows how a woman is having a burden of raising a family alone without a husband but how a woman gets tough to make children achieve their goals in life.

This article also shows that a woman has a burden to raise families without any assistance; this is gender-based violence.

In addition, this documentary shows how a woman can work hard to raise her family, though she met with challenges. Thus, women will be motivated to work hard for their family.

Background

Why did you produce the story? What problem or context is it responding to?

I decided to organize this documentary because there are many Tanzanian women, who are left to raise families without any support, but I saw this woman in an effort to ensure she makes her children receive all needs despite being disabled.

Problem to be considered is that the heavy burden of raising children with women alone leads them to suffer in life.

Key objectives

What did you hope to achieve with this coverage?

Husband’s family should assist women if a husband has died and has left children. In addition, women who are left to raise families should work strongly to meet the needs of their children. Women can be very particular and strong in the sense of raising a family

Target audience

I managed to catch the audience as they listened program was given the opportunity to send messages and expressed understanding. Women also were encouraged by this documentary that they are able to raise a family with their superior power

How did you go about producing the programme?

How did you gather the data, how many sources, female and male did you consult? Why did you choose these sources and how were their voices important?

I followed sources and they showed me cooperation. Seven sources donated to talk about how they know. One is the subject and others are supporting sources like children and neighbours. Another source is also an activist on gender issues.

Women and men have participated in this documentary and it was very important to get the voices of these people. Main character- shows the reality of life after the death of her husband; release the burden of raising a family.

Gender activist – is the person who gives the definition of gender. He described how some women could succeed in raising their families.

Neighbours and they confirmed the main Character life in this documentary Children also speak to bring fillings on a woman to bring a sense of raising children. Children also are the source of this violence

Feedback

What impact did it have? What evidence do you have to illustrate impact?

I was in the radio studio presenting this program, so many people contributed to this topic. I received so many phone, which congrats woman doing an effort to raise her children, other phones have testified they did not know whether this issue might be focused on raising a family could be violence.

Calls are the compliments, which caused me to decide to make other programs like this that make women to fight having good life. In addition, our radio is community radio. Therefore, we can get the attention of the audience directly. I have thought of the audience often saying the woman is able to do things very strongly.
