The study to determine gender awareness among educators in Namibia was commissioned by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Cluster Office in Windhoek, Namibia. The study was designed to inform the development of a Gender Toolkit for Educators. It was anticipated the inclusion of high school teachers, together with journalism trainers and educators of teacher trainers at colleges of education, would provide a greater pool of knowledge concerning gender within places of learning.
