Moka has previously been linked with the Moka/Flacq District Council. However, the two has been split after the 2012 Local Elections. Gender Links has provided two days of intense training on Women in Politics to the councillors and community members so as to encourage women to enroll for the elections. Moka participated in the 2019 #VoiceandChoice Summit and showed their contribution towards the promotion of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights.
