Muzarabani is situated in Mashonaland Central. It is the home of the “Mavhuradonha mountains” situated on 600 square kilometres of rugged mountains and situated along the Zambezi Escarpment, only two hours away from Harare in the northeast part of Zimbabwe. The Mavhuradonha wilderness offers visitors an experience of “what else can Zimbabwe offer”. “Mavhuradonha” refers to the misty rains which often hover over the mountain tops and is a Shona name which when literally translated means “Land of Falling Water” or simply “waterfalls”. The area is a perfect destination for game viewing as it is home to elephants, buffaloes, zebras, leopards, lions, baboons, and other wide range of animal species. Muzarabani is administered by the rural council whose website has more information on their activities.

The council is a hub council in the hub and spoke programme for gender mainstreaming,  mentored by Bindura RDC.

Muzarabani Rural District Council has constructed a vending facility where community members can sell their wares and produce from.
