Stakeholders tour anti-FGM clubs in Tarime
Tarime is one of the districts in Mara region located at the Northern Western in Tanzania. The place is popular for harmful practices on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).
Therefore, the story stipulated the visitation of different partners including men from Child Dignity Forum, Plan International TUNAWEZA Tarime Girls Network, UNFPA and TAMWA.
Report presented by elders from Kurya tribe say more than 1,600 girls were mutilated in a one event done by December 2014. That practice exposes girls to humiliation and severe pains in each December season.
