My name is Precious . I am 35 years old. In 1999 I started dating and I was clueless about dating, I was 18 years and I fell pregnant by the boy I was in love with. I was not ready to be a mother and the boyfriend’s family did not really like me nor my family. They started saying the child is not theirs even my boyfriend started agreeing with them denying the child. Knowing that I have never slept with anyone but only him I then decided to abort the baby. After the abortion, I went back to the relationship because I loved him and he was the only man I thought could love me.

In 2002, I fell pregnant again, the same thing happened, and the family said it was not their child’s baby, but I kept the baby and they stopped taking to me for 10 years. I was leaving with their son in Johannesburg and when we went home, he would go stay with family and I went to my family.  In 2010, I had another child with this man, his family accepted this child and they bought clothed for the child and we started talking from then. They continued hating my family saying my mother is rude and does not have manners and their child got into the wrong family. When my boyfriend was angry, he would repeat the same thing to me, all this frustrated me emotionally.

In 2017, he decided to pay lobola for me but this did not change anything, his family and I were still not in good terms. They do not allow me to visit their place I still live with my parents. They continue to say terrible things about me, and they say, “Snake child is a snake”. They made sure that I do not become part of their family even though I am traditionally married to their son and have children with him. They treat me as an outcast and he does nothing about it and pretends all is well. This hurts me emotionally and my heart breaks every time I see them.
