Gender Links Mauritius have organised a workshop entitled ‘Political dialogue – the place of women in Politics in Mauritius’. The event was organised in collaboration with MACOSS and took place on the 15th of March 2018 at the MACOSS Regional Training Centre in Moka.
The Panelists included:
The moderator’s role was assured by Martine Lutchmun, Journalist from La Sentinelle. A Pledge was written by Marie Annick Savripene, Journalist from La Sentinelle as well as a ‘Communique de presse’ which came out on the same day.
The debate was a vibrant one with questions from the audience. It is to be noted that around 90 participants took part in this dialogue besides the panellists and the organising team. Questions of interest came from the youth who were part of the audience. This showed that the youth in Mauritius is committed to build an inclusive platform for politics where men and women have equal say and equal opportunities.
