Gender Links (GL) will host the South Africa #Voice and Choice Summit from the 27 – 28 June 2019. The South African Summit is one of 15 #Voice and choice Summits that will run across Southern Africa between June and September 2019. Winners from the SA Summit will participate in the Regional Summit in November 2019. Twenty five years into SA’s democracy let us celebrate gender and women’s rights!
ENTRIES CLOSE ON THE 15 JUNE 2019. Late entries will not be considered. All applications must be submitted using the electronic application forms. Email or hard copy entries will not be considered. Click on the title of each category to access the online application form.

Recognising innovation in the following categories: · Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) including: Menstrual health; Maternal health; SRHR Services and Comprehensive Sexual Education; Teenage pregnancies; Safe Abortion; HIV and AIDS; Child marriages; GBV; Sexual diversity · Economic justice · Gender and governance · Gender and climate change |
#Voice and Choice Media award
Recognises gender aware coverage of SRHR including Menstrual health; Maternal health; Services and Comprehensive Sexual Education; Teenage pregnancies; Safe Abortion; HIV and AIDS; Child marriages; GBV; Sexual diversity

| #Voice and Choice Youth award
Recognising innovative efforts by youth groups and associations to promote holistic, sustainable, youth and gender friendly policies, services and practices. |
Drivers of Change
Recognises those who have championed the Gender Protocol and its related SDG targets at local and/or national level and can show evidence of results. |
| Sunrise campaign: Empower women, end violence award
Recognises the achievements of women who participated in the Sunrise Campaign. The winning candidate will proceed to the national Summit. |
Centres of Excellence for Gender in Local Government Recognises institutional good practices on gender mainstreaming in local government and their work. GL worked with 20 local councils across South Africa. All the participating councils are invited to submit applications. |
