GL to host learning & sharing event on WPP for journalists

Johannebsurg, 19 February: Journalists from Botswana, Eswatini and Zimbabwe who participated in a reporting on Women’s Political Participation workshop  organised by GL, will come together in a learning and sharing event from 11-12 March 2021. The event will include presentations of good media practices on Women’s Effective Political Participation. The presentations are in the fields of in-depth Print, Online, Radio, and Television publications and productions produced following the WPP trainings in 2020.

To participate in the learning and sharing event journalists who received training on reporting WPP in the three countries must please fill in and submit their media application. 

Closing Date for submission is now  5 March.

The two – day event will include presentations from journalists followed by a learning and sharing and reflection session on strengthening media practise. The presentations will be adjudicated according to a standard set of criteria by a distinguished panel of judges within each country. Winners from the learning and sharing event will join the Regional Voice and Choice Summit.

Gender Links will hold the regional Voice and Choice SADC Protocol@Work Summit from the 15-17 March 2021. The Summit will culminate in the Awards ceremony and celebration of GL’s 20th Birthday  on the 17 March 2021.
