Port-Louis, 25 June: Nathalie Didier, journalist at the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation, came first in the Media Category on Tuesday 23 June, during the Awards and Gala Night of the SADC Gender Protocol Summit in Mauritius.
Her Radio Show “Etre Femme” – Being A Woman – aims at showing women that they can all succeed in life and fight poverty, and this, despite not being vulnerable and academically challenged. According to Nathalie Didier, proper training is key to unleashing the enormous potential of women. She dreams to be able to see women being financially independent and hopes that all women are recognized for their real worth in society.
Kelvin Suddason is in his second year at the University of Mauritius. He’s part of the selected students of Gender Links working on its special newsletter on the national Mauritian Summit.
