SADC: Join Cyber Dialogue on Women’s Health

Johannesburg, 24 May: Please join Gender Links and the Gender Protocol Alliance partners for a cyber dialogue on the International Day of Action for Women’s Health, on 28 May 2019. This day coincides with International Day of Menstrual Hygiene.

The Gender Protocol Alliance under the banner #VoiceandChoice is rolling out Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights campaigns in 15 Southern African countries. Alliance partners will share their experience of what has worked in the countries and what we should be prioritised across SADC.

This dialogue will also take place in the backdrop of the second phase launch of the #MyBodyMyChoice  campaign which GL is also taking part in.

#MyBodyMyChoice is a partner-led, social and community media campaign, which Gender Links is part of The campaign is calling for protecting and promoting women’s right to make decisions about their reproductive health, bodies and lives.This campaign aims to Challenge the stigma, practices and mind-sets that attempt to limit women and prevent them from exercising autonomy over their bodies and achieving their goals.
