The African Union Commission/ Women, Gender and Development Division AUC/WGDD is developing a gender strategy, which is expected to be finalised and discussed by the Specialised Technical Committee on Gender and Women Empowerment in December 2017. To read the concept note, click here.

Religious leaders need training in Gender and development . Women form majority in most Faith organisations yet at decision making levels only men decide. Gender must be mainstream into religion to avoid abuse of women.
