19 participants represented by national and local government officials, NGOs and CBOs was convened on 6-7th October 2008 to build capacity of stakeholders in strategic communications based on the Sixteen Days of No Violence against Women Campaign. The workshop was held by Gender Links in collaboration with the Gender and Media Southern Africa Network (GEMSA).
29 representatives from civil society attended a workshop aimed at building the capacity of stakeholders on strategic communications and IT skills based on the Action Plan to End Gender Violence and to plan for the Sixteen Days of Activism campaign.
26 representatives (23 Females and 3 males) from civil society attended a workshop aimed at building the capacity of stakeholders on strategic communications and IT skills based on the Action Plan to End Gender Violence and to plan for the Sixteen Days of Activism campaign.
The Strategic Communications, National Action Plans to End Gender Violence & IT Capacity Building workshop in which 28 institutions, organisational representatives and individual experts participated, was aimed at providing participants with a framework for collaborative action and emphasised the importance of education, training and awareness building outlined in the national action plans.
The Strategic Communications and the IT workshops were held with 40 representatives of civil society and government on the 17th – 19th November 2008. The workshops aimed at building the capacity of stakeholders in strategic communications and IT skills based on the harmonised National Action to Combat Domestic Violence and to consolidate plans for the 2008 Sixteen Days of Activism campaign.
