16 Days of Activism 2012 Concept Note

This concept paper concerns 2012 Sixteen Days of Activism campaign. Every year the United Nations declares the period from the 25 November, International Day for the Eradication of Violence Against Women, to the 10 December, International Human Rights Day, as the 16 Days of No Violence Against Women across the globe. The Sixteen Days of Activism 2012 Campaign is happening under the global theme: From peace in the Home to Peace in the World: Let’s Challenge Militarism and End Violence against Women!

GL will use a variation of this theme entitled Peace begins at home premised on the notion that GBV is the war at home.
