Description:Worldwide, an estimate of 40 to 70 percent of homicide of women is committed by intimate partner, often in the context of an abusive relationship. Around the world at least one in every three women has been beaten coerced into sex, or otherwise abused in her lifetime. Trafficking of humans worldwide grew almost 50% 1995 to 2000 and the international migration (IOM) estimate that as many as é million women are trafficked across borders annually.
