A course for media managers and editors from the African continent

Gender Links, in partnership with Rhodes University’s Sol Plaatje Institute (SPI) for Media Leadership, invites media managers and editors from Africa to participate in a week-long accredited and certificated course that will introduce participants to key gender and media management concepts, theory and practice aimed at creating diverse, equal and equitable work environments.
The course will focus on key areas that seek to enhance media managers and editors’ understanding of gender and its imperatives in the workplace. The course is purposefully designed to allow for peer learning as well as from the team of highly experienced facilitators.

The all-inclusive course package is R8500 per participant, including course materials, accommodation and meals. This excludes travel. R6500 for day participants.
Participants will receive a Certificate of Competence from Rhodes University pegged at the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level Six upon successful completion of the training.
