First Lesotho Gender Summit ends on a high note

The first ever Lesotho SADC Gender Protocol Summit closed at the Lesotho Sun Hotel in Maseru on March 19 2013, with resounding shouts of – “2015, Yes we Must! The SADC Gender Protocol at Work”.

Seven women and four men received awards in a variety of theme, local government and media categories (see Annex A). The summit featured fifty-three (53) entries in categories including Gender, Gender Based Violence and Conflict Resolution; Education and Economic Development; Climate Change; Sexual and Reproductive Health, HIV/Aids and Constitutional, legal rights and governance. Other presentations covered institutional Centres of Excellence (COEs) and Leadership.
