MEDIA ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN JOHANNESBURG CITY REGIONAL WORKSHOPS ON A WOMEN DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY TAKING PLACE DURING WOMEN?S MONTH.

As part of the celebration of women’s month, the City of Johannesburg, in partnership with Gender Links, is holding consultations with women in all eleven regions of the City on a Women’s Development Strategy. Topics being discussed include job creation, procurement, safety, health and how women can benefit from Soccer 2010. These robust and colourful dialogues give a unique perspective of the kind of City women want. The remaining consultations will take place as per the schedule below;

The consultations, which are being spearheaded by the Member of the Mayoral Committee responsible for Community Development, Cllr Nandi Mayathula Khoza, will result in a strategy and action plan targeting women who have been socially and economically disadvantaged to be unveiled.
