Allegemeine Zeitung (AZ) is owned and run by the Democratic Media Holdings Pty Ltd, Windhoek, Namibia. The AZ was founded in 1916, it appears from Monday to Friday with a daily circulation of about 5500 copies, and once a month with journal “Tourism Namibia” (about 10,000 units). Member of the Editor’s Forum of Namibia (EFN) and the AG International Media Assistance (IMH), Cologne.
