Kolektif Drwa Imin (KDI), which is a consortium of non-governmental organisations namely, Gender Links (GL), Young Queer Alliance (YQA) and Kolektif Drwa Zanfan Morisien (KDZM), is inviting for a team of Consultant / Consultancy Firm to submit a proposal for a research on “The Economic Cost of Gender Based Violence in Mauritius”.
The KDI is implementing this project undertaken under the UK FCDO-funded Global Equality Project being implemented in Mauritius supported by the Kaleidoscope Trust. The project aims to advance equality and equal protection before the law in order to secure the rights of women and girls, and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer and Intersex (LGBTQI) persons in Mauritius without discrimination. The programme is hosted by GL and managed by a committee of the organisation in the consortium.
One of the main activities of the project is to conduct a research to quantify the economic cost of Gender Based Violence (GBV) faced by women, girls and LGBTQI persons in Mauritius.
