Chegutu Municipality has a very high level of management buy-in. The council comprises mostly of male management. The council has embarked on a drive to reclaim grassy areas which had been a haven for criminal activity and Gender-Based Violence and initiated Local Economic Development projects as a result. The council is conducting awareness campaigns on COVID19 to communities twice a week. The council also has a state of the art COVID19 isolation centre which was equipped using devolution funds.
