Exercise caution on gender issues – Botswana Daily News

The Minister of Trade and Industry has urged the teachers who are also parent subsitutes by the very nature of their profession, to exercise caution when dealing with gender issues in schools to avoid creating gender disparities in young growing minds of boys and girls. Ms Malesu also encouraged the teachers to use their influence to disabuse children of gender stereotypes between boys and girls particularly from a tender age of development with a view to attaining gender equality in the long run.
