GEM COMMUNITY – INSTRUCTIONS

How to register on the GEM community?

1. Go to www.genderlinks.org.za.
2. Click on the green box that says Gender & Media eCommunity.
3. When you click on the green box you will, you will land onto the community page that have a green shade on the background
4. Click on register.
5. Once you click on register you will see this screen. Click on the box that says “I have read, understood and agree to these rules and conditions.À, then click on register.
6. You will then see a registration form. Please fill in all fields.
7. Once you have completed the form click on “Submit my registrationÀ.
8. You will be directed back to the main GEM Community page.

Logging in to the GEM community

1. Click on log in.
2. You will then see the screen that requires you user name and password. Enter these and follow notes on cyber dialogues below;

Cyber dialogues

1. Click on “Live chatÀ.
2. A pop up window appears and you then need to click on “General discussionÀ or on the specific language room.
3. You will see the chat box. Type in what you want to say in this box and click send.
