Gender and media audience study: Namibia

The attached report presents the findings of the Gender and Media Audience Study (GMAS) conducted
by Gender Links (GL) in partnership with the Polytechnic of Namibia (PON). It is the first comprehensive study of
audience news consumption patterns and preferences in Namibia generally, as well as the gender dimensions of
these.

The findings are based on the responses of 90 women and 90 men, a total sample of 180 from Windhoek,
Ongwediwa and Rehoboth.
