The attached report presents the findings of the Zambia Gender and Media Audience Study (GMAS)
conducted by Gender Links (GL) in partnership with the Zambia Institute of Mass Communication (ZAMCOM).
It is the first comprehensive study of audience news consumption patterns and preferences in Zambia
generally,as well as the gender dimensions of these.

The findings are based on the responses of 90 women and 89 men, a total sample of 179 from Lusaka, Kabwe
and Kafue
