The figure is the same as the region but lower than the global average in the 2010 Global Media Monitoring Project (GMMP) of 24%. There are however variations between individual media houses from the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation Television (MBC TV) at 28% to Le Mauricien and Week End at 14% each. In general all media houses have made progress but the MBC television made a marked progress from 17% to 28%.
